Our Carnivore Breakfast Quiche features a crispy pork rind crust and a protein-packed filling to fuel your day ahead.

Ingredients

    Carnivore Breakfast Quiche

    Crust:
    • 1 1/4 cups Southern Recipe Original pork rinds, crumbled
    • 1 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese or hard Gouda cheese, freshly grated
    • 1 Egg

    Filling:
    • 1/2 cup Chicken broth or beef bone broth
    • 1 cup Swiss or Muenster cheese, shredded
    • 4 oz. Cream cheese
    • 1 Tbsp. Butter, melted
    • 1/2 cup Ham, diced
    • 4 Eggs, beaten
    • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 325 °F.
2. For the shell, combine the pork rinds, cheese and mix well.
3. Add the egg and mix until the dough is well combined and stiff (add more powdered pork rinds if needed).
4. Press pie crust into a 9 inch pie dish. Bake the crust for 12 minutes, or until it starts to lightly brown.
5. To make the filling, place in a medium bowl, broth, Swiss cheese, butter and cream cheese. Stir well to combine.
6. Stir in the ham, eggs, and salt.
7. Pour mixture into the pre-baked shell.
8. Place into the oven or air fryer and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 °F, and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. You may have to cover the edges with foil to prevent over-browning. Allow quiche to sit for 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.
